Bismack Biyombo Is A Maniac

Look at this incredible dunk-block-dunk sequence from Congolese big man Bismack Biyombo.

Please note: After he spiked that Dwyane Wade dunk attempt, he hit him with the Mutombo finger wag, an appropriation so bold and geographically earned that I’m not even mad at it. Biyombo’s teammates DeMar DeRozan and Kyle Lowry finally—finally!—had good games, scoring 34 and 25 points respectively, and the Raptors beat the Heat 99-91 to take a 3-2 series lead. Biyombo has proved a fine replacement for injured viking warrior Jonas Valanciunas, blocking four shots today.

Biyombo’s line (10 points, six boards, two steals, four blocks) ain’t that impressive, but he was a rock for the Raptors tonight and they played their most steady game of this series, and maybe of the entire playoffs. Let’s not get to the buzzsaw awaiting this series winner in the next round quite yet. Toronto is one win away from only their third playoff series win and first conference finals appearance ever. If they win on Friday, this will be a landmark moment in Raptors franchise history worth savoring, whether they get rocked by the Cavs or not.
