At a rally in Manchester, New Hampshire this evening, empty gas station salami wrapper Donald Trump revealed the endorsements of a pair of New England Patriots heroes. Tom Brady and Bill Belichick purportedly told the future former candidate for president that they’d vote for him, and Trump even read from a letter he says Belichick sent him. As Trump said:
This guy is a true champ so he writes, Coach Belichick,
“Congratulations on a tremendous campaign. You have to help with an unbelievable slanted and negative media and have come out beautifully. You have proven to be the ultimate competitor fighter. Your leadership is amazing. I have always had tremendous respect for you for the toughness and perseverance you have displayed over the past year is remarkable. Hopefully tomorrow’s election, the results will give the opportunity to make America great again.
Best wishes for great results tomorrow,
Bill Belichick.”
Later in his speech, Trump endorsed Curt Schilling’s senatorial run. Good news is this ham demon’s time as a seemingly legitimate political figure is coming to a swift close.
We’ve reached out to the Patriots for comment. We’ll update this post if they respond.
Update, 10:58 p.m. EST: Trump is probably wrong about Brady voting for him. Brady said that he hadn’t voted early, so even if he is registered and plans to vote for Trump, he hasn’t yet.
Update, Nov. 8, 8:01 a.m. EST: On Instagram, a fan asked Gisele Bundchen, “Gisele I heard you and Tom were backing Trump! Is that true??”
Bundchen’s response: “NO!”
