Dwight Howard, who’s averaging 52.8 percent on free throws this year, made two meaningless ones towards the end of Charlotte’s 133-109 blowout of the Wizards tonight. Afterwards, like Sam Cassell and so many others before him, he wanted us to know how big his balls were.
The NBA typically frowns on the Big Balls Dance, taking the anti-balls stance against guys that include Jameer Nelson, Eddie House, and Marco Belinelli. Typically, in the more low-key instances like this one, it draws a $15,000 fine. Earlier this year, however, Howard drew a $35,000 fine for an on-court cunnilingus gesture, so the league may decide to try him as a repeat sex-mime offender.
