This is a rare bird and sort of a transitional 900 Turbo. 8 valve turbo engine, non-intercooled, CIS injected etc, non-compatible gearbox with later models. Less capable than an ‘86 and later 16vT, but considerably more unique. Cool little car. Hope it comes with a rebuilt gearbox. Nice price all day.

A tiny amount, but not enough to justify that driving. On the other side of the concrete barrier is a bike path that a lot of people commute in to the city on. In different circumstances there could have been a much uglier outcome.

Long road trip through the Adirondacks in my 99 9-3 SE and found myself going 120 in 5th effortlessly. I don’t remember the exact RPMs but I was just getting back into the >3000 rpm boost sweet spot and it just wanted to blast off. That was the least quick but most fast car I’ve ever had. Long legs, indeed.
