First off, people, be kind; it’s been brutal being a Bucs fan for years. Read more
How come their run defense is left out of this entire article? Their 21st and their only win against a team that could run the ball was SD. Read more
Worth noting that Mack has been missing the Raiders inside lineman Mario Edwards Jr. all season, leaving opposing O lines free to focus most of their attention to him and he’s still doing this to teams.... Read more
Oh, it’s worse than that. Year 3 is the greater of top 5 at the highest-paid position (so moot bc QB) or 144%. So ~$24M next year, but at least ~$34.5M the year after. Read more
This article is awesome but I have one major disagreement with it: Cousins doesn’t have ALL the leverage. He obviously has leverage but, as the article so clearly stated, he also has a great O-line, receiving corps, and a defense that isn’t getting obliterated causing him to go into panic mode a la Aaron Rodgers. Worth noting that Osi Umenyiora started all 16 games in 2007 as the Giants’ lone Pro Bowl representative. He doesn’t get nearly enough appreciation for as dominant as he was. Tuck and 2006 first-rounder Mathias Kiwanuka (a DE who converted to OLB to fit in our base defense) were typically brought in for the “NASCAR”… Read more
Yes, I’m a Chiefs fan. The play calling has been atrocious in the red zone. I don’t have the stats, but they were good on 3rd down last year and decent in the red zone. I don’t think you can blame Smith for everything - that throw Sunday was awful, but it was his only read from what I gathered from Andy Reid’s press… Read more
It’s probably a great asset having a receiver with loads of experience reading defensive schemes at a high level. Also its kind of nice to see how far the league has progressed racially. In the past a black player without even 10% of Pryor’s athletic ability would have been told his future was at WR or DB. But… Read more
I wouldn’t say he’s the only good thing, Corey Coleman has been enjoyable in the few games he’s played

LOL The Falcons just played, consecutively, Broncos-Seahawks-Chargers-Packers, but we will only know if they are good after Eagles-Cardinals-Chiefs. Heh
Worth pointing out that the Falcons had the hardest strength of schedule coming into the season.

It’s the NFL way. This is too rich. I’ve said this from the very beginning. The NFL owners are so used to having total control of everything (including stadiums), they automatically assumed this would be no different. Except they are now dealing with a man just as greedy as they are. This is a man who filed bankruptcy… Read more
I hate this whole thing. From what I understand, the state legislators and counsilmen/woman sold this to the public as a publicly owned stadium. However, the committees to manage the stadium and the events hosted won’t be publicly appointed. Instead, they’ll be internally appointed by the committee that is… Read more
The hotel tax was a brilliant angle. Let the locals have no skin in the game either so the man on the street (or my cabbie who i asked on my last trip) will rationalize it as a no loss situation for the public. Yet hmm, if you can get free funds of that amount, SURELY there must be other civic projects that could use… Read more
Except, his YAC is outrageous. He is a faster paced, more talented Alex Smith. His passes barely travel through the air. This offense is built around letting skill players run with the ball. He is not having a MVP-caliber season. Read more
