Reading the title and seeing that Rob shared it, I though this was going to be another beer post and "Dragon Age: Inquisition" was a beer that was so damn good there was no way it could have been brewed with anything other than elf root. A magical beer. It was the beer high that Will Gordon has been chasing since he Read more

Mr. Kamps, what you've just said is one of the most insanely idiotic things I have ever heard. At no point in your rambling, incoherent response were you even close to anything that could be considered a rational thought. Everyone in this room is now dumber for having listened to it. I award you no points, and Read more

Solid article, I agree with most things. I would have to add 3 points: Read more

Yes, but all that aside, cyclists live in mortal terror of some driver (vengefully or inadvertently) killing them with their car. Motorists just have to deal with the nuisance of inconsiderate cyclists. So it's not a one way street but please recognize the balance of power. Read more

Good tips. I always ride in the middle of the lane if I don't have a bike lane, I think that is one of the most important tips. You are more visible and no one will try to squeeze by you and inevitably kill you. Read more

Don't wear earbuds, don't ride through SOMA. I got hit last year at Mission and 5th by a lady in an SUV turning right. I've seen several people get hit on bikes in SOMA, and saw someone performing CPR on the poor biker (motorcyclist) who died on Van Ness and Turk on Saturday. Read more

I seriously think city riding might be safer than small town riding despite , for me at least, city riding being much more heart pounding and stress inducing. I follow all these rules when riding and I've been doored once, on purpose, clipped once, and straight up buzzed off the road 3 or 4 times in the last 5 years. Read more

As a fellow urban biker I feel that this is a great guide and I endorse much of it. But for god's goddamn sake, goddammit, wear a goddamn helmet Garrett. Please. Pleeeeease. Read more

My cheap Fuji cyclocross bike has taken me deep into the Utah winter so far. Bought it online for a few hundred bucks and I love it more than I've ever loved my many bikes. It's a totally different head space when you've got an easily replaceable battle bike that can go almost anywhere—riding is fucking fun. But Read more

Remember, when taking the lane, if they're honking at you, that means they can see you and they won't hit you. Read more

Also, to add one more thing to the list re: adequately collecting adequate kitchen supplies, as a chef my standby for home supplies for years and a great little "lifehack" (although I fucking abhor that word with the fury of ten thousand post taco-bell digestive tracts) is to absolutely find your nearest restaurant Read more

Same here, especially with the pretty good-to-damn good-to-great, depending on the game, work that COD has done on their missions. I just enjoy running those missions a lot more than being in a random capture the flag game.* Read more

Every time I read your articles, Garrett, I'm reminded of the idea that yeah, it's cool to enjoy playing a game by yourself, without feeling like you're some noob for staying away from that online cesspool, and I appreciate it. We went back a few years recently and started Fallout 3, and since I play games to Read more
