Thank you for reading. I reviewed Red Hook Audible Ale in December. I agree that it’s probably time to find another one to write about, I haven’t been avoiding the company on purpose. http://theconcourse.deadspin.com/dan-patricks-s… Read more

Can’t believe I forgot its emergency medicinal value! Read more
I always hear great things about it, can’t wait till they start shipping it my way. Read more
Yeah, that’s true, you do see a few more goses around now, but even that didn’t take off like I’d (erroneously) thought it might. Nothing new that I’ve found this summer has the reach of the Anderson Valley cans that have been around for a couple years now, with the exception of the Victory Kirsch, which seems to have… Read more
Nah, I can tell you’re a tasteful fella. We’ll be fine, you, me, and the Cruiser. Read more
Stop it. We don’t stand for that kind of pedantic dick-waggling around here. Read more
Hey, thanks. I don’t think Kluwe’s officially gone or anything, just biding his time until the next punting and/or video game scandal, I hope. Read more

Why thank you. What I’m hoping is that Fireball fans will realize that, if you’re into that kind of thing, there’s an alternative. But yeah, I won’t be drinking either again any time soon. Read more
Tallgrass does! I don’t know how closely it resembles the Sam Smith (which I haven’t had in a few years at least), but their Pub Ale is a really nice English mild. I hear you, though. I like that Kansas seems to be kolsch country; Free State makes a really good new one, Dirty Kanza. that’s an overlooked style. Read more
I had another one over the weekend, which is rare for me (I need to try so much different stuff for work that I don’t always have time/energy/$ to buy an expensive bomber that I know upfront I can neither learn from nor write about). I might get another this weekend, too. Read more

That’s a good point, but German beer culture (and maybe overall culture) is so different from ours as far as following rules and respecting heritage goes. I dig all the new styles we have here these days, I just think we could maybe dial back on the innovation-for-its-own-sake. Read more
I really liked Buffalo Sweat. Read more
Yeah, Buffalo Sweat was probably my second favorite, it would have done very well in my American stout ranking from March (top 5, I bet). I’ll let you know when I make it to Kansas. Read more
You’re right. The fact that they haven’t is probably the surest sign that they’ve already decided to just let it die. Read more
Well said. I don’t know that I envy the macro-lager diehards, but I respect their choice and certainly see the merits of just picking a beer, sticking with it, and getting on with life. Read more
