Saturday’s Bournemouth-Watford game featured a curious incident when Nathaniel Chalobah, in perfect position to score, ran up to and right on past the ball seemingly for no good reason. Thanks to the fine folks at the BBC’s Match of the Day, we now know that this wasn’t an inexplicable brain fart on Chalobah’s part, but the result of an ingenious bit of skullduggery by Bournemouth’s Harry Arter:
Some, like Dermot Gallagher, are mad at Arter for channeling his inner A-Rod, and technically Watford should’ve been awarded an indirect free kick and Arter shown a yellow card, but come on. This was hilarious.
