Buffalo Bills Offensive Line Coach Aaron Kromer Arrested For Battery

Buffalo Bills offensive line coach Aaron Kromer was arrested and charged with misdemeanor battery in Walton County, Florida early Sunday morning.

In a Facebook post, Walton County Sheriff Michael A. Adkinson, Jr. detailed the incident, which allegedly began after Kromer’s son confronted three other boys over the use of beach chairs:

Victims told deputies Kromer grabbed [the boys’s] fishing pole and threw the pole into the water and then pushed one of the boys to the ground and punched him in the face. It was stated Kromer then told the boys to return the chairs to where they found them.

The victim stated Kromer also told him if he reported him to the police he would kill his family.

You may remember Kromer from his tenure as the Chicago Bears offensive coordinator. He made waves last season when he anonymously criticized Jay Cutler to the media, then tearfully apologized to the quarterback soon after. The police report of Kromer is pretty damning, although it should be noted it’s only one side of the story. (Do all cops post this kind of stuff to Facebook? It’s interesting that the sheriff specified Kromer is a Bills coach in his post.)

Adkinson says in the post the investigation is ongoing and additional charges may be filed.
