Washington Redskins owner Dan Snyder was in the news today. If you're short on time, yes, he continues to not give a fuck about Native Americans, or you, or your opinion of him exploiting and slurring Native Americans for personal gain.
The NFL is contributing $100,000 to Park View High School in Sterling, Virginia, with the money going toward a turf football field. Snyder was on hand for the photo op, and while he almost never takes questions, he decided that this would be a good day to take a few.
As you'll recall, Snyder recently started OAF (Original Americans Foundation), a sham organization conjured to somehow use the purchase of winter coats to obscure the fact that he brazenly continues to make millions of dollars from the racist slur "Redskins." In his OAF-ish travels, he tells us, he's seen the real issues, and met the real racists, none of whom are Dan Snyder, shitbag owner of the Washington Redskins.
"We understand the issues out there, and we're not an issue," Snyder told reporters. "The real issues are real-life issues, real-life needs, and I think it's time that people focus on reality."
Snyder was asked whether OAF isn't just a sham organization conjured to somehow use the purchase of winter coats to obscure the fact that he brazenly continues to make millions of dollars from the racist slur "Redskins." For the doubters, critics, and the know-it-alls, he had only the citation of good works, and shade.
"I think it tells you that we did our homework—unlike a lot of people," he said.
Boom.
