Guard Derrick Rose, who abruptly left the Cavaliers back on Nov. 24 to, like, go sit on a boardwalk and watch happy couples stroll by and stare at his reflection in a rainy window while a mopey Stan Bush track plays in the background, has returned to Cleveland, according to ESPN’s Adrian Wojnarowksi:
Great? The Cavs are on a league-best 11-game winning streak at the moment, despite a big fat chunk of their point guard minutes going to the ancient husk of José Calderón. They’ve even rediscovered some of the three-bombin’ spirit that characterized their scoring attack last season. More depth on the bench at that very shaky position is... good? I guess? In the abstract at least? Even if it comes in the person of a washed-up half-dimensional Derrick Rose whose commitment to the sport is nearly as fragile as his spaghetti-ass ligaments?
In any case, congratulations to the Cavaliers on a new addition to their trainer’s room.
