Favre Throws TD Pass For Jets, But Redskins Won't Get Off His Lawn

Brett Favre worked with the Jets' first team offense in his preseason game against Washington last night. He completed 5 of 6 passes, including a 4-yard touchdown pass to Dustin Keller. Brett played for two offensive series before watching his new team lose to the Redskins, 13-10.

“I felt like I threw the ball well, moved around OK,” he said. “Ten days ago, I was doing yard work. My arm feels great. I’ve been throwing the ball well. I just feel like once I get the timing down with these guys, I’ll be OK."

Jets receiver Jericho Cotchery explained the feeling of having an aging franchise quarterback in his huddle.

“He was the same old Brett,” Cotchery said. “Very much in control of the huddle, like he always is, and very much in control of the game. And that allowed us to be in control as an offense, as a unit. We felt like everything that we were going to run was going to work.”

And the Favre saga rolls on for now. When the Olympics end, this is all we'll be hearing about. Just the thought of it has me pining for another Peyton Manning commercial. Brett Favre Tosses TD Pass In Jets Debut [Yahoo! Sports]
