Get The Hell Out Of Here, Cowboys

The Cowboys had more rushing and passing yards than the Seahawks. It didn’t matter.

Dallas turned it over three times, Dan Bailey missed two fourth-quarter field goals, and Seattle beat the Cowboys, 21-12. Jerry Jones’s team fell to 8-7 and were eliminated from playoff contention. Ezekiel Elliott, who returned from a six-game suspension, had 97 yards on 24 carries.

The Cowboys’ 9-7 halftime lead vanished when QB Dak Prescott threw an interception on the first possession of the second half, and Justin Coleman returned it 30 yards for a touchdown. Dallas then drove to the Seattle 25; Prescott threw another interception. Seattle pushed it to a two-score game after Prescott’s second pick. Bailey missed field goals on his team’s final two second-half possessions.

Seattle’s points all came off Cowboys turnovers; their first-half TD came after a Dez Bryant fumble. The Seahawks had 136 yards of offense and allowed 142 yards in penalties, becoming the first team since 1966 to win a game with more penalty yards than offensive yards.
