Here's Chad McGhee With Your Weekly Knox City Greyhounds Update

Yes, Chad McGhee's favorite six-man high-school football team is one step closer to the dream because "the knox city greyhounds are the bi-district CHAMPIONS!!!!!!!!!!"

What a rollercoaster-ride of a season. The mighty Greyhounds sit at 6-5, one step closer to a foretold rematch with Throckmorton and Texas High School Football history thanks to a 65-46 victory over previously undefeated Zephyr. Wrote Chad at 1:32 a.m., just hours after the astounding victory:

WOW what a night what a battle it was on that field. the Knox city Greyhounds are 2011 Bi-District Champs!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! way to go hounds, thats how you get it done. i did all i could tonight. and the hounds knew it too. all that foot stomping, screaming yelling doing all that stuff i am totally tired. i am completely exhausted. i gave it my all like i have never gave it before man. i am spent. but i couldn't be happier and prouder of the greyhounds. WAY TO GO HOUNDS!!!!!!!!!!!! LETS GET IT DONE NEXT WEEK BABY YEAH!!!!!!!!!!

Giving his all!

Anyway, the Greyhounds now head off to Walnut Springs to face an enigma of a team which beat 3-7 Bowie Gold-Burg 50-0 in the first round of the playoffs. It's not that they're unknown to Knox City, what with Walnut Springs's 49-48 OT victory last year.

They're an enigma because, per the Reporter Time website, they only played one regular season game this year (a win, which was apparently enough to qualify for the playoffs) and their coach, mascot and home field are all listed as "N/A." Mystery. Intrigue. Knox City Football.
