Even if you don't particularly care for Italian soccer (raises hand) you can't deny the excitement of seeing Juventus winning a six goal affair over Milan. In a huge match that could go a long way to deciding which of these two sides will be able to challenge Inter for the league title. The Turin side won 4-2, with their last two scores coming from Carvalho De Oliveira Amauri, the second just minutes after Zambrotta was sent off for Milan. Juve is now six points off the pace while Milan falls to fourth behind Napoli.
• Another disappointment at the Bridge. With a prime opportunity to pass up Liverpool atop the table Chelsea choked away two points at Stamford Bridge, an occurrence that is slowly becoming less noteworthy. This time it was lowly West Ham victimizing the West London side, striking first with a goal from Craig "I'm Fucking Insane" Bellamy in the 33rd minute. Anelka equalized early in the second half, but the Hammers defense stood their ground the rest of the way as Chelsea continues to search for their rhythm.
• A pair of ties in Germany. Bundesliga leaders TSG Hoffenheim had an opportunity to pull two points clear after Bayern's tie in yesterday's action, but they too were held to a single point. Schalke got a goal from Gerald Asamoah to earn a point from the 1-1 tie.
• Leave it to the French. Lyon and Marseille played to a 0-0 draw in a battle of the top two clubs in France. It was ugly, sloppy, and crappy in many other ways.
