Kevin Love Says Kelly Olynyk Injured His Shoulder On Purpose

The Cavaliers completed their sweep of the Celtics today, but the bigger story from the game is the injury to Kevin Love’s left shoulder.

Love dislocated his shoulder after grappling with Boston center Kelly Olynyk in the first quarter, and Love firmly believes Olynyk yanked his shoulder on purpose.

“I thought it was a bush-league play. I have no doubt in my mind he did it on purpose,” Love said. “That’s just not a basketball play. The league will take a look at it and it better be swift and just.”

Here’s video of the play, and you can judge for yourself if Olynyk was trying to injure Love during the skirmish:

Love is traveling back to Cleveland with the rest of his teammates where he will receive medical attention right away. It’s very easy to play doctor right now, but it’s really hard to see Love being ready for game one of the second round with this kind of injury.
