Denver Outlaws goalie Jack Kelly intercepted a pass with just five seconds left in the third quarter. So he did what anyone would do in that situation: He flung it as hard as it could at the other goal, hoping for a miracle. He got one.
Atlanta Blaze goaltender Adam Ghitelman was literally not paying attention to the play—after all, his team had the ball at the other end with just five seconds left. Unfortunately for him, Kelly’s shot was on target. It went right past a steamed Ghitelman and into the net.
If you watch the replay, you’ll see that Ghitelman actually already had his water bottle in his hand, ready to end the quarter. Whoops! Denver ended up winning, 24-12.
