Last Night's Winner: MMA's New "Quantum Physics" Division

In sports, everyone is a winner-some people just win better than others. Like MMA champ Matt Horwich, who showed in a post-fight interview that he's the smartest man in the world. That, or he'd just been punched in the head repeatedly.

Over the weekend, Horwich submitted Thales Leites for PWP's middleweight title. I'm sure it was a lovely fight; I didn't see it. I did, however, catch Horwich's interview just minutes after his fourth round victory, and this man deserves a "Press Hop" of his very own.

Some athletes thank God for their victories. Others, their families. Horwich instead wants us to know that we live in a beautiful multiverse.

The multiverse, of course, being a theoretical set of universes existing parallel to our own. Such a situation would require a heretofore unproven reconciliation of general relativity and quantum mechanics, so we're not sure how much research Horwich has done on his — oh shit, never mind, he just mentioned String Theory.

But he's not merely skilled in theoretical physics and kicking the crap out of people. No, he's a warrior poet as well. As he tells the interviewer, the fight gave him more inspiration to go work on his poem, titled simply, "Infinitely Accelerating Current Of Creativity."

Before the fight, Horwich took on a new nickname: "The Limit Smasher." But we're slowly starting to understand that limits only exist for us mere mortals, and Horwich is constrained only by the Planck Length.
