Inika McPherson Represented In Rio, Continues With Flair In Zurich

U.S. high jumper Inika McPherson finished 10th in the Olympic final, finishing second for Team USA behind Chaunte Lowe. She cleared 1.93 meters, but missed three attempts at 1.97 meters.

But the expressive McPherson is not done. After a short post-Olympic homecoming in Port Arthur, Texas, she flew to Switzerland to compete in the Zurich Diamond League meet, where she tied for second place, again reaching a height of 1.93 meters. She is, however, as far as we are aware, the first caped crusader to clear that height.

McPherson is now in fifth place in the Diamond League series standings, the only American in the top ten.
