The biggest football day in the history of the Magnolia state has ended triumphantly for both the Bulldogs and the Rebels, now that the Rebs just chopped down the Alabama Crimson Tide. Mississippi is now the football capital of the world.
The decisive stretch came with about 6:00 to play, when Ole Miss QB Bo Wallace threw a 34-yard touchdown strike to Vince Sanders, which tied it up, followed by the Reb D turning right around and squeezing a fumble out of Alabama kick returner Christion Jones. Wallace cashed that one in for the TD you see above.
Alabama damn near went down and got their points back, after blocking the Ole Miss extra point twice. But Blake Sims floated one just a liiiiiittle too far toward the back of the endzone, Senquez Golson picked it off, and the Grove burst into a booze-soaked pit of triumphant ecstasy.
