In September, we published a blog about Rockies reliever and avid baseball memorabilia collector Pat Neshek being miffed that Zack Greinke would not sign autographs for him. It ended with this line:
“If you want to be really nice, send him a Zack Greinke autograph.”
It’s unclear if anyone actually tried to do that. But at least one reader did send Neshek a copy of the blog post itself, printed out on a piece of photo paper, with a request for an autograph. And he got it! From reader Spencer: “I put it on 8x10 photo paper, and sent it to the PO Box he put on his website- and he signed and sent it right back!”
The lovely result can be seen above. Happy endings are real.
