Pekka Rinne And The Predators Have Tied Things Up

An action-packed second period and a few stellar saves from goalie Pekka Rinne let the Predators take Game 4 of the Stanley Cup Final by a score of 4-1.

After a relatively tight first period—with Nashville scoring first, upheld by replay review, and Sidney Crosby answering with Pittsburgh’s only goal of the night to tie things up almost scarcely a minute later—things burst open in the second. Frederick Gaudreau scored a goal that initially wasn’t one but was overturned on replay review, and Viktor Arvidsson added another goal later in the period. Rinne had 23 saves in all, and an empty-netter in the third sealed the victory for the Predators. With the series tied, Game 5 is Thursday in Pittsburgh.
