Second Student Arrested, Charged With Helping Virginia Tech Athlete Dispose Of Dead 13-Year-Old's Body

Blacksburg, Va. police arrested a second Virginia Tech student today, claiming 19-year-old Natalie Keepers helped David Eisenhauer dispose of Nicole Lovell’s body after the Hokies track athlete allegedly murdered the middle-schooler this week.

Authorities discovered Lovell’s body in Surry County, N.C. Saturday morning and charged Eisenhauer with abducting and murdering the 13-year-old liver transplant patient hours later. Police say Eisenhauer and Lovell “were acquainted” before she disappeared from her Blacksburg home Wednesday, where family members discovered a piece of furniture pushed up against her door.

Blacksburg police chief Anthony Wilson claims “Eisenhauer used this relationship to his advantage, to abduct and then kill her.” He did not state how the two met, according to the Roanoke Times.

Virginia State Police spokeswoman Corinne Geller said a team was searching a pond on the Virginia Tech campus in the process of investigating the crime:

Cops say they’ve received about 300 tips related to Lovell’s death.
