Shockingly, No One Was Seriously Injured During Deadspin Bar Crawl

Last Saturday we invited our New York readers to join us for a Subway Series bar crawl, sponsored by the wonderful hombres at Corona. We drank, watched baseball, and awkwardly socialized with people from the internet. So really it was like any other Saturday, except I put clothes on and actually left my apartment. Photographic evidence and details (or what I remember) after the jump.

As mentioned, Corona was nice enough to buy everyone beer all day (which is pretty much like giving matches and an old copy of Life Magazine to a 12 year old), so all we had to do was walk from bar to bar between innings and avoid any brawling. This was an arduous task on both fronts, but you all seemed to handle it like champs. Things got a bit sticky at one point when AJ made a comment about my Mets attire and I threatened to beat him with a cheesesteak, but beyond that everything went smoothly. In 5 hours we managed to hop from Mercury Bar to Tonic to Side Bar, seamlessly timing our empty beers, the intermittent rain, and the end of an inning to coincide with our schedule.

Special thanks are in order for your wonderful editors; had they not shown up the event would have been marginally less successful. Thanks also go out to the bartenders we bum rushed at each establishment, the Gawker Sales team for organizing, and our friends at Corona. And of course, we need to thank the hundred of you that came out and boozed with us. Let's do it again, mkay?

Oh, and the Mets won. SUCK IT A-ROD.
