Stephen A. Smith Leaving ESPN Radio For SiriusXM Mad Dog Radio

In an interestingly-timed move, the New York Daily News is reporting that Stephen A. Smith will be leaving his ESPN Radio gig in New York and head to the uncensored airwaves of SiriusXM. And, also interestingly, he will be joining Chris "Mad Dog" Russo's stable of hosts on Mad Dog Radio.

Russo, you'll recall, went on a prolonged rant in May about how he had not yet come across a black host "worthy" of the Mad Dog mantle. Stephen A. Smith, advocate for females not pissing men off to the point of provoking physical violence, is now ready.

He will take over the same 1-3 pm timeslot for Mad Dog that he currently inhabits at ESPN, but it's unclear what (if anything) this means for Smith's time with ESPN television. Bristol has been silent on the subject since the First Take segment aired yesterday.
