Ah, sweet, glorious NFL Sunday is here at long last. And you can take a look at which men and women will bring you today's slate of 15 games. • Joey "piano man” Harrington is taking his musical talents to New Orleans, where he'll play backup to Drew Brees's backup. My, how the not-so-mighty have fallen. • Packers linebacker Nick Barnett says he's going to appeal the $7,500 fine (his second in a row) he was slapped with by the NFL earlier this week for a helmet-to-helmet hit on God's favorite QB, Jon Kitna.
“It’s hard to play physical without playing physical,” said Barnett, who wasn’t called for a penalty for either punishable act in the last two games.
Ain't that the truth. On to the injuries: • Purple Jesus: Peterson was limited in practice on Friday, but has been activated for the winless Vikes today. The League's most dynamic back is nursing a bum hammie. • LT: LaDainian was back at practice this week, but didn't go full-speed due to a jammed right big toe. He's listed as questionable for the Monday Nighter. Sayeth Tomlinson: "I’m pretty sure on Monday, I’ll probably still have a little problem with it but it will be a week better.” • Braylon: Edwards's shoulder is still hurting, and he's questionable for the Browns today as they go up against the Ravens. (Also: due to a strained shoulder, guard Eric Steinbach is not suiting up for Cleveland, if you care to know. And I know you do.) • Justin Gage: The Tennessee Titans' wide receiver has missed three consecutive practices due with a groin injury, and is listed as a game-time decision.
