Nobody really pays much attention to the Miami Marlins, so we are guessing that not nearly enough people are aware of infielder Casey McGehee's nickname: "Hits McGehee."
This is notable for a few reasons, the first being that it's an obvious play on the "Tits McGee" joke from Anchorman, and the second being that the team is 100 percent behind the proliferation of the name. The Marlins twitter account loves using the #HitsMcGehee hashtag, and the team even built a push to get McGehee into the All-Star Game around the nickname. Even the play-by-play guy uses it:
So there you have it. A professional baseball player has a team-sanctioned nickname that will now make you think of a dumb boob joke every time you hear it. There are many reasons to hate the Marlins, but this isn't one of them.
