Welcome back to Deleted Scenes. This space is now reserved for those scuzz-money entrepreneurs who've unsuccessfully tried to sell us prurient information. This is also where we'll run notable emails we've received from some of our readers. All emails are [sic]'d. Enjoy.

hello, do you buy nude pics of celebs? I have one that may be of interest.
— Don
Deadspin:
YESSSSS!
Don:
Thanks for the email. It is a full frontal nude of Nik Richie guy from the dirty.com married to shayne lamas. Is he celeb enough?
Deadspin:
FUCK YEA!
Don:
How do we do something like this? Not my usual field of work lol.
Deadspin:
I'm only paying, like, $10.
Don:
He's only worth ten bucks lol?
Deadspin:
$8.26, actually. I was being generous.
Don:
I can't do that
Deadspin:
Okey doke.
(Nik Richie responds: Yeah I know. It's not real... If it was I would post it on TheDirty. PHOTO: LamasRichie)

Lindy West,
Hi. This is DrunkExpatWriter.
If you want to trash Jezebel commentators, in general, and me by name, I guess that's your right.
That said, if you do so, you should really allow me (and Jezebel commentators in general) to respond. I'm a gold star commentator on three of the Gawker Media sites which should imply to you that I'm not a troll. In fact, I drive a lot of traffic to your sites.
I tried to comment in response to your direct personal attack on me in your post - but my comments disappeared in under five minutes.
Say what you will about Jezebel, but the editors and writers there have the courage to leave up comments they may not agree with.
Beyond that, every other Gawker Media site I've ever read has allowed people they have trashed in their articles to respond - probably because that's standard journalism practice.
Also, because most journalists aren't cowards.
Love,
Bart
ME:
Hey Bart.
And calm down, sir.
BART CALENDAR:
A.J.,
Thank you,
It's just disturbing to have multiple people email me telling me that a major website is calling me an "asshole" - particularly since Gawker Media has given me paid writing awards in the past. I was willing to take it as just good fun until my comments were rejected. As long as I get to have my say, it's no problem for me. (Though I'd prefer my comments appear as "DrunkExPatWriter" and not "Bart_Calendar" just for the sake of consistency.
Thanks again,
Bart
ME:
You've been given paid writing awards from Gawker? I don't even know what that means. And why isn't your commenter name "DrunkExPatWriter" on Deadspin then?
BART CALENDAR:
Gawker runs writing contests several times a year. I've won them. Granted, it's only 50 bucks, but still...
And, I have no idea why my commentator name doesn't come up as DrunkExPatWriter on Deadspin. That was one of the things that pissed me off!
Bart
ME:
If you say so.

I'm not sure what I've done to piss you off. I've been a big supporter of Gawker Media for years.
Anyway, since you seem to be calling me a liar here's the PayPal receipt.

ME:
Um, you're a little aggressive? And proud of your star status and traffic-driving and weird writing awards?
Not pissed off, just a little bemused.
Thanks for the receipt, though.
BART CALENDAR:
Dude,
Lindy was aggressive in calling me an asshole. I just want the ability to respond to being called an "asshole" under my usual username "DrunkExPatWriter" rather than "Bart_Calendar."
Not really proud of anything - was simply pointing out that I was treated like a random troll when I'm not. Asking for the ability to respond to a personal attack is not being aggressive.
Bart
ME:
I don't know what to tell you about your commenter name problem. And she's making fun of your commenter name. That's it. That's a made up name you use as a handle on a website on which you frequently make comments and
andengage in relationships with other like-minded imaginary-named people. It's a light-hearted column about light-hearted subjects. So I suggest you try to be more light-hearted and call it a day.
ADDENDUM: Then ol' Bart Expat went to his LiveJournal and fulminated some more. He's something.
