There’s A Hike Book Tour And You’re Invited

One quick note about book tours: I do not plan them. I have no say over where the good folks at Penguin decide to send me when it comes to whoring my new dose of stoner fiction live in person. Book tours tend to be expensive and therefore limited in stops, unless you happen to be some big swinging dick novelist or an ex-President. So if you don’t see your town on this list, please know that you haven’t been deliberately ignored. Except if you live in St. Louis. I specifically asked to avoid that shithole.

Now, here is how these readings go: I read a little bit, but not too much. Then you ask me anything you want, then I sign your book (with anything you want… people usually ask me to sign for a relative and personalize it by insulting that relative’s favorite team) and then we all go out to a bar close by and drink. No muss, no fuss. If you own or run some really kickass indie bookstore in another town, and you want me to blow through in my ugly Polo shirt, by all means holler @VikingBooks to see if you can get your city and store added to the itinerary.

Also, The Hike is coming out in less than month and you should fucking buy it. It’s good, I swear. See some early reviews for yourself (WARNING: Some of them contain spoilers). I wouldn’t push a book on you if it was boring and shitty.
