Two Bosnian Soccer Clubs Battle For Worst Sportsmanship Award

Bosnian second-tier club Bosna Visoko was down 1-0 to Zvijezda with two minutes left in regulation when they decided that Zvijezda’s attempts to run out the clock were too much to bear. So they gave up.

First a Zvijezda player clutched his evidently cramping leg a few feet from the sideline. When he was finally shuffled off, Zvijezda took their sweet time taking the free kick. Apparently outraged by the time-wasting and referees’ decisions, the entire Bosna Visoko team sat down in protest.

Zvijezda took no mercy. They scored their second goal while the Bosna Visoko keeper was still trying; their third goal came as he wandered aimlessly among his seated defenders.
