Watch This Old Video Of Triple H Beating The Shit Out Of A Fan Who Jumped In The Ring

One of the scariest moments for a wrestler is the rare occasion when a fan decides to get involved. You never know what they’re going to do—just last month one woman pulled a gun on a heel at a small indy show in Georgia—and the wrestler’s response is universal: subdue them by any means necessary.

The above footage is undated, but the video description says it comes from a WWE event held in Germany in the late ‘90s. It shows a fan entering the ring after a match between Triple H and “Stone Cold” Steve Austin, and the fan is immediately attacked and pummeled by Triple H and the referee until security arrives.

The Sporting News found a 2013 podcast in which Austin discussed the incident:

“Triple H, stand-up cat, he picked that dude up, slammed him and started punching his lights out,” Austin said. “I couldn’t do anything. I couldn’t help beat the guy up. I’m the babyface. But Triple H was watching my back, and he beat the snot out of that guy.

“You don’t want to be spit on, you don’t want to be punched, slapped, none of that. But when someone crosses those rails or someone comes between those ropes, you’re considered fair game.”
