No. 8 Alabama 41, No. 3 Georgia 30. The Crimson Tide continue to impress in national primetime. Last night, they dispatched of their second Top-10-ranked opponent this season, with neither game being played at home. Georgia's choice of shrubberies and uniform color proved to be moot as Alabama ran up a 31-0 lead with an attack anchored by a veteran offensive line and a quarterback announced colloquially by his full name. John Parker Wilson threw for 200 yards and running back Glen Coffee ran for two TDs for the Tide. Georgia made it interesting in the third quarter, but couldn't make up enough ground before Alabama realized they were actually playing out the second half. No. 12 Penn State 38, No. 22 Illinois 24. Nittany Lions quarterback Daryll Clark managed to out-juice Juice Williams, running for a TD while throwing for two more and completing 70 percent of his passes. The game was still in doubt in the fourth quarter, before sloppy special teams play put the Illini into a hole they could not escape. No. 2 Oklahoma 35, No. 24 TCU 10. Oklahoma knows how to finish football games, and their latest effort should send them to the top of the polls this week. Sam Bradford threw for 411 yards and 4 TDs for the Sooners; it was Oklahoma's 21st consecutive win at home.
