Woody Paige and Jay Crawford fans can breath a sigh of relief: sexual harassment charges against the two have been thrown out of a Manhattan court. The charges were filed by Rita Ragone, self-professed "Stylist to the Stars", who alleged the two men groped and propositioned her while the three were working on the set of "Cold Pizza". Some noteworthy details: • The judge tossed the case because he found that Ragone had agreed in her contract with ESPN to take any sexual harassment claims to an arbitrator instead of a court. Yes, it seems ESPN has a "Sexual Harassment Arbitration" clause built into its employment contracts. • Ragone claimed she agreed to no such thing, and that her signature on the contract was forged. An ESPN handwriting expert disagreed. • In her suit, Ragone claimed that Crawford backed her into a corner, and said, "I don't care if you can do makeup or not. The only reason you got the job here is because you are hot." • On her website, Ragone says she has done makeup for such luminaries as Bill Clinton, Peggy Fleming, Jon Bon Jovi and the Duchess of York. What, no Skip Bayless? Elsewhere, the lawyer that handles all of ESPN's sexual harassment claims just added a second jacuzzi room to his place in the Hamptons.
