Even though Senator Thurmond (Clemson Agricultural College of South Carolina, Class of 1923) was a powerful man I doubt he could've just "inserted" Davis. In fact, Davis actually worked in Senator Thurmond's office for a time before joining the Secret Service in May of '89. Read more
